california - sacramento

//dieser post sollte eigentlich schon letzte woche hier erscheinen aber da lief wohl etwas schief but there you go!

// I tried to upload this post last week but something really went wrong but noe there you go!

hallo meine Lieben,

hello lovelies,

just a little i am still alive sign for today, unfortunatey without pictures but i promise i'll show them to you when i am back home!
I really enjoy life to the full here in California and keep experiencing the Californian life in a different way every day.
After arriving to San Fransisco on sunday evening - sadly without my suitcase we enjoyed monday rocking the thrift stores - for everyone who doesn't know what this kind of store is you need to think of a huge flea market in a building which is there the whole year thebest thing for monday was 50% holiday off because of memorial day. I landed 2 really great stikes a banana republic jacket brand new i really fell in love with an a brand new dark blue etuidress so it's true you can find some real cool stuff in there and you should definately try it out!
in the evening we had some bbq with some kind friends of my lovely aunt T. so we spend having a hilarious evening with some good food, great conversations and enjoying the warm weather and the music. and for everyone who thinks you can learn something when you are on vacation you are totally wrong! There's a new impression everyday for me:

Montag: how to go shopping with a shopping cart

Monday: how to go shopping with a shopping cart
go shopping with a shopping cart is like pretty simple around here, you just walk into the store get like everything you nee or what just looks gorgeous in your cart - there isn't only cheese in a can but also olive oil and a haul of some other really crazy things but i get away from what i was really gonna tell you! so going grocery shopping is pretty simple here -  when having everything in your shopping cart get to the cash leave the cart right in front of the whole thing and wait until the cashier has everything then he/she will pull over the cart for you and help you getting your stuff back in there - that's kind of amazing isn't it?

Dienstag: how to ride the bus

Tuesday: how to ride the bus
because my suitcase wasn't here with me i really needed to get some clothes and stuff to change and feel comfortable with so i decided to go to the mall for a little shopping and there isn't an easier way than taking the bus right there.  The great thing is the buses look as our do when you get inside there is the driver wearing a uniform smiling at you so i tell him where i wanna go and wait for him to tell me how much money i have to give him but not here! you get 2 different kinds of tickets one for just a single ride and one for the whole day but the real difference between riding a bus in Germany and riding them here is u need to put the money in the counting machine by yourself - that's what i figured out after standing there smiling for half a minute and waiting for something to happen.
And there is another challenge if you want to get out there is no stop button but a rope going from the very front to the very back of the bus when your stop comes next just pull the rope then it makes an awkward noise and the driver stops the bus most times a little hard so keep sitting until you can get out.

Wednesday: there's no change on the bus
so when i came home from the mall the day before i opened the door and what did i see?! my suitcase had arrived so i needed to return the things i didn't need anymore back to the mall  so same procedure as yesterday walking to the bus stop feeling a lot more comfortable I went on the bus driver smiles - i smile back i put my 5$ note in the counter driver looks bored what i am doing i wait for getting my change back as it is usual in Germany than he suddenly wakes up and said :'there's no change in here' so for your next bus travel remember no change!

So those where my very first impressions from here-  i love the city i love the people all around and it really feels a little like home after these past few days, tomorrow morning we are heading to Yosemite National Park i Am really excited!
